Our Activities
Swami Vivekanand Manav Seva Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha NarvelOpen Education
Swami Vivekanand Manav Seva Sanstha, Panvel, has been running an Open Education project for the past year. This project is for tribal poor families, people living in slums, on footpaths, beggars, and tribal communities. Our aim is to give them basic learning, good habits, and social values. We also focus on yoga, exercise, and health care. This helps reduce bad habits like stealing and makes them better people. We teach them how to live with respect and become strong members of society. This project is not only in Navi Mumbai but also across Mumbai’s harbour, central, and western railway lines.
Women’s Empowerment
Many women face economic and social challenges like lack of money, fewer job chances, and dependence on others. Social barriers such as old customs, gender bias, and unfair treatment in schools, jobs, and society also stop them from growing. To help them become strong and independent, we are working on women empowerment. We provide training in tailoring, food marketing, and beauty parlour skills though forming self-help groups. These activities help women earn their own income, support their families, and live with respect. Our aim is to build their confidence and give them a better future through skill-based learning and self-employment opportunities.
Women’s Health
Many women in marginalized areas do not get proper treatment, reproductive health services, or enough nutritious food. This leads to serious health problems and lowers their ability to live a strong, active life. Poor health also affects their confidence and limits their chances for growth. These issues are especially worse for women from poor families or rural areas. To support women’s well-being and empowerment, we must ensure they receive proper medical care, health education, and nutrition, helping them lead healthy and independent lives with dignity and strength.
Child Development
Since 2019, we have been working for child education and development, focusing on slum children, child beggars, and orphans. We help them get enrolled in schools and support them with school fees, uniforms, books, and study materials. Our aim is to give every child a chance to learn, grow, and build a better future. We also guide them with moral values, good habits, and personal care. By doing this, we help children move away from street life and step towards a bright, respectful, and successful life through proper education and care.
Health Camp
Our health camp focuses on visiting villages in rural and suburban areas and spreading health education, free check-ups, diagnosis, and consultations to people in need. We also organized an HIV/AIDS and Sickle Cell Awareness Rally from Nagpur to Mumbai without any external funding. During this rally, brochures and condoms were distributed. Street shows were held in villages, railway stations, truck terminals, bus stands, and red-light areas to raise awareness. Government health workers joined us in visiting remote areas to educate people about serious health issues and encourage healthy living. All services were provided completely free of cost.

Disaster Management
We have actively worked in Disaster Management to support people during natural and man-made emergencies. Our team provides quick help during floods, fires, and other disasters by distributing food, clothes, and basic needs. We also help with medical aid, rescue efforts, and temporary shelters. Along with emergency support, we conduct training sessions to teach people how to stay safe and respond during disasters. Our aim is to reduce panic, save lives, and help affected families recover faster. We believe in being prepared and helping communities become stronger and safer.
